Senior Video Editor

Now Production is looking for an exceptionally talented, highly experienced, and creative Senior Video Editor to join our production company in a dedicated full-time or part-time role.

We're not looking for someone who only knows how to edit Reels or assemble videos using templates. We're looking for a true all-around professional with exceptional visual taste, strong storytelling instincts, advanced technical skills, and the ability to independently deliver high-end work across multiple formats.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes editing seriously as a profession, genuinely enjoys the creative process, and wants to contribute to the growth of a professional production company.

Our projects range from cinematic brand films and commercial advertising to documentary storytelling, YouTube productions, social media content, events, and product campaigns.

What you must be able to edit

We work with businesses across different industries, producing a wide variety of professional commercial content.

Candidates should have substantial professional experience across the following categories, with portfolio examples demonstrating their abilities.

1. Brand & Corporate Videos

Premium business videos, company profiles, brand storytelling, cinematic commercial content, and interview-driven brand films.

2. Commercials & Advertising

Paid social advertisements, product campaigns, promotional videos, creative advertising, and visually engaging commercial edits.

3. Documentary & Emotional Storytelling

Complex narratives, interview-driven films, emotional storytelling, documentary-style editing, and multi-layered long-form projects.

4. YouTube & Long-Form Content

Full YouTube episodes, educational content, interviews, multicamera podcasts, and long-form branded productions.

5. Social Media Content

Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, talking-head videos, dynamic short-form content, and trend-aware editing styles.

6. Events & Conferences

Event recaps, highlight films, conference coverage, speaker presentations, event documentaries, and multicamera event footage.

7. E-Commerce & Product Videos

Product demonstrations, lifestyle videos, product advertising, macro/detail sequences, and creative product-focused edits.

8. Motion Graphics & Creative Visual Effects

Kinetic typography, advanced titles, animated graphic elements, compositing, tracking, creative transitions, and professional visual effects using After Effects, built-in editing tools, plugins, motion graphics templates, AI-assisted solutions, or other professional workflows.

9. AI-Assisted Video Production

AI-generated visuals, creative effects, footage enhancement, AI-assisted editing, and integration of emerging technologies into professional post-production workflows.

We understand that editors may have different areas of specialization. However, this role requires strong versatility, advanced fundamentals, and the ability to confidently work across multiple types of professional video production.

PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH STRONG, COMPLETED PORTFOLIO EXAMPLES ACROSS MOST OR ALL OF THESE CATEGORIES.

PROFESSIONAL LONG-FORM EDITING EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to independently edit complete brand videos, YouTube episodes, interviews, documentary-style productions, or other complex long-form projects using professional desktop editing software.

A REELS-ONLY PORTFOLIO IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THIS POSITION.

Additional photography skills

Required:

• Professional lifestyle photo editing and retouching.
• Strong Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop skills.
• Natural skin retouching, color consistency, exposure correction, and efficient batch photo editing.
• Ability to maintain a consistent professional look across large sets of images.

Major advantage:

• E-commerce product photo editing.
• Advanced product cleanup and retouching.
• Background removal and replacement.
• Commercial compositing and detailed product finishing.

Technical requirements

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience preferred, or an exceptionally strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent professional expertise.
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one professional editing platform: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to create professional motion graphics, animated titles, typography, tracking, transitions, and creative visual effects using professional editing tools, integrated solutions, templates, plugins, AI tools, or dedicated motion graphics software.
• Adobe After Effects proficiency is a strong advantage, but not mandatory.
• Professional color correction and cinematic color grading.
• Advanced audio editing, sound design, dialogue cleanup, music editing, and mixing.
• Advanced understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, effects, and visual continuity.
• Professional knowledge of codecs, formats, proxies, multicamera workflows, frame rates, exports, and delivery specifications.
• Excellent footage organization, file management, project structure, and backup discipline.
• Ability to work efficiently with large volumes of footage and complex timelines.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI editing, video generation, enhancement, and creative production tools.
• Familiarity with third-party plugins, emerging editing software, and current creative technologies.
• Ability to learn and adapt to our established project workflows and production standards.

Language requirements

English and Russian proficiency are required for this position.

Now Production produces professional video content in both English and Russian, including interviews, commercial productions, documentary storytelling, and dialogue-driven projects.

Candidates must be able to:

• Understand spoken English and Russian in raw footage.
• Independently identify strong interview responses, meaningful soundbites, and the most effective takes in both languages.
• Understand narrative context, emotion, tone, and conversational nuances.
• Build coherent stories from unscripted interviews and dialogue.
• Understand creative briefs and editing feedback in both languages when required for assigned projects.

Native-level fluency or a particular national origin is not required. We evaluate language proficiency based on the ability to perform the actual editing responsibilities.

Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Remote workstation & technical requirements

Remote candidates must have access to their own powerful, professional editing computer and a reliable working environment capable of handling demanding commercial post-production workloads efficiently.

Requirements include:

• A high-performance Mac or Windows editing workstation capable of professional 4K editing, multicamera timelines, color grading, motion graphics, and complex projects.
• Sufficient RAM, processing power, GPU performance, and fast SSD storage for efficient editing and rendering.
• Ability to work with large volumes of footage, high-resolution media, and demanding effects without excessive delays.
• Reliable high-speed internet suitable for transferring large professional video files.
• Professional desktop editing software, including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Access to suitable tools for professional motion graphics and visual effects, including integrated editing solutions, plugins, AI tools, templates, or dedicated applications.
• Reliable media organization, secure file handling, backups, and project transfer procedures.

WE EXPECT FAST, EFFICIENT PROFESSIONAL EDITING WORKFLOWS. INSUFFICIENT COMPUTER PERFORMANCE MUST NOT BECOME A RECURRING OBSTACLE TO MEETING PROJECT DEADLINES.
